The Role

Future Academies Watford has an exciting opportunity available for an ambitious Head of Year. This post is available as a Teaching post.

We are looking for someone to join our Pastoral team from September 2025.

The role of the Head of Year is to secure the effective care of the social, emotional and learning needs of all individual students within their year group. The overriding role is to remove barriers to learning and to promote the ethos of a aspirational and supportive academy where everyone succeeds; to provide strong leadership and management and ensure high quality student intervention which results in high student standards and achievement.

You will be joining a warm and committed staff body with a supportive Senior Leadership Team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher ready to take the next step into middle management or an already skilled Head of Year looking for a new challenge.
